Konea ‘O Kukui Gardens

Welcome to Kōnea o Kukui, affectionately known as Nani’s Garden. Step into a tropical sanctuary where time slows down and the earth itself speaks. Kōnea o Kukui is not just a destination; it is a living sanctuary of magic, profound healing, and deep-rooted history. Our tours invite you into an active garden restoration project dedicated to preserving our ‘ohana’s (family) ancient ancestral ‘āina (land). Let Nani guide you through the whispering pathways of her ancestral home. On this deeply personal journey, she will share the living stories of her family’s unbroken ties to this land—a sacred space interwoven with the legacy of King Kamehameha I, who united the Hawaiian Islands into a single royal kingdom in 1810. The journey culminates with a dedicated space for quiet reflection. You are invited to explore, breathe deeply, and meditate amidst the green embrace of the garden, allowing the ancient mana (energy) of the ‘āina to restore your spirit. As you explore, you will encounter rare, native plants that exist nowhere else on Earth as well as canoe plants brought across the ocean by the ancient Polynesians. We offer three unique ways to experience the magic, history, and healing of Kōnea o Kukui. The minimum group size is 4 people. If you are a group of 3 or fewer, the price for the tour increases. We had an amazing time with Auntie Nani visiting the gardens she tends. I've never seen anything like it! It is hard to describe the magic here unless you experience it yourself.
