Hello, I'm Nani S.
Aloha. I’m Nani from Ni’uli’i North Kohala, homeland of Kamehameha, the first king to unite the Hawaiian islands. My kupuna (ancestors) were the first ki’ai (guardians) of Kamehameha as an infant until a young age on the ridge of Awini. I am a blend of Hawaiian, Okinawan, English, and Irish ethnicity, born to the sugar plantation era, which gives me a deep understanding of plantation life and my rich cultural heritage. The history of my people and Kohala lives within me through my life experiences as the 7th generation to steward my family’s lands. I am a florist by profession with over 40 years experience combining flowers and plants on my ancestral aina (land).
