I am Alaska Native Tlingit born and raised in Sitka, Alaska. I was fortunate to have the opportunity to learn a traditional life watching and learning from my grandmother who shared her blessings on earth for 102 years. I have learned to share what I have learned from her and make it a very rewarding career developing cultural tour programs with the guidance of my local elders. This opportunity provided economic opportunity and perpetuations of Tlingit knowledge. I have 42 years working professionally in the economic and tourism industry developing cultural tourism related businesses.

Taking a walking tour with a true local with expert knowledge of the forest is absolutely incomparable. Camille brings a wealth of knowledge passed down to her --- I learned so many amazing things about the plants, the animals, how the Tlingit people interacted with nature, as a part of nature, that you would never find in a book.
